Investor-ready mining maps in minutes.
Exploration Maps is a browser-based tool for junior mining and mineral exploration companies. Search mineral claims, plot drill results and projects, add infrastructure, and export polished maps for investor decks, news releases, NI 43-101 technical reports, and investor updates — with no GIS experience required.

- Search or upload. Search claims, companies, projects, or coordinates, or upload CSV, KML, GeoJSON, and shapefiles.
- Style and layer. Add claim blocks, infrastructure, targets, labels, roads, rail, power, and terrain.
- Export and share. Create clean PNG, SVG, and PDF visuals for presentations, reports, websites, and investor updates.
What you can make
- Mining claims maps from public registry data — Canada (BC, Ontario, Quebec, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Newfoundland & Labrador, Yukon) and U.S. federal mining claims (BLM MLRS) for Nevada, Arizona, Utah, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, New Mexico, California, Oregon and Washington. U.S. coverage is federal claims only — state-managed tenure (including Alaska state claims) is not yet included.
- Drill results maps with grade/interval callout labels
- Technical report figures with scale bar, north arrow, and legend, for review by the report author
- Target generation and infrastructure/access maps
Features
- Mineral claim search. Look up claims in the public registries by claim number, property name or registered owner, and drop the boundaries straight onto the map with their good-to or expiry dates.
- Drill collars and intercepts. Import a collar table as CSV, fix UTM or latitude/longitude columns, and label the holes that matter with grade and interval callouts.
- Targets and anomalies. Draw target outlines, geochemical anomalies and structural trends over the claim block, or class a soil or rock sample file by value.
- Infrastructure and access. Show roads, rail, transmission lines, ports and the nearest town, with distance rings for project access.
- Your own data. CSV, KML, KMZ, GeoJSON and multi-file shapefiles, read in the projection they came in.
- Report-ready exports. PNG, SVG, Illustrator-ready SVG and PDF from one editable layout, with coordinate frames, scale bars, north arrows, legends and title blocks. A brand kit keeps your logo, colours and fonts consistent from map to map.
- Tenure monitoring. Save a watch list of British Columbia claims, including ground you do not own, and get email reminders at 90, 30 and 1 day before each published good-to-date.
Supported jurisdictions
Claim search reads each jurisdiction's public tenure data. In Canada: British Columbia (Mineral Titles Online), Ontario (MLAS), Quebec (GESTIM), Saskatchewan (MARS), Manitoba (claim-number lookup), Newfoundland and Labrador (GeoAtlas mineral licences) and Yukon quartz claims. In the United States: federal mining claims from the BLM MLRS for Nevada, Arizona, Utah, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, New Mexico, California, Oregon and Washington. Public data can lag the official record, so every map points you back to the registry to confirm ownership, status and deadlines. See data coverage and methodology for sources and update timing.
Use cases
- Investor decks and news releases. A property map that matches the deck it sits in, re-exported in minutes when the claims change or new drill results arrive.
- Technical reports. Figures with a coordinate grid, scale, projection and title block, prepared for review by the qualified person.
- Website project pages. The same map at web resolution, updated without going back to a GIS contractor.
- Competitor and land research. Search a company's registered claims, map a neighbour's ground, and see who holds the surrounding land before a deal or a staking program.
- Exploration planning. Claims, targets, collars and access in one view while you decide where the next holes go.
Start free: free PNG exports carry a small Exploration Maps credit. Pro removes the credit and unlocks HD, SVG and PDF export for US$29 a month or US$290 a year. AI assistants can build maps too, through the Claude connector or the agent API.
